Perth Now: Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins opens up about the agony of endometriosis

As a dancer, Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins knows how to “handle pain well”.

But nothing, she says, could have prepared her for the pain of endometriosis — an agonising condition suffered by one in 10 women.

Watkins told Who Magazine that she was on a national tour with The Wiggles last March when it hit.

“I started bleeding every single day,” she said. “I thought that was really bizarre.”

Surgery to remove five cysts left her in “so much agony” that she was forced to take six weeks off from the hectic tour….
