Kristel has been in the entertainment industry her whole life. From the time she was old enough to walk, she was dancing and is, in fact, still a much better dancer than a walker, as she has a tendency to bump into things.

Kristel also performed with choirs from a young age and has sung in bands all over Adelaide.

Some of her proudest moments came when she represented Australia at international competitions in the USA with the Australian Drill Dance Team 3 times.

After four years of breakfast radio at Power FM, where she first went public with her Endo battle, Kristel moved to Adelaide’s Mix 102.3 FM.

After years of being gaslit and ignored by medical practitioners, Kristel ended up in the emergency ward at Ashford, where a wonderful doctor admitted her, and she returned two weeks later for her first Excision surgery.

Since her Stage Four Endometriosis diagnosis, there have been multiple surgeries and many a ‘burnt to extinction wheat bag’ (may they rest in peace).

Kristel is incredibly passionate about spreading awareness of Endo and talking about it honestly, with vulnerability and humour.

She hopes that other sufferers will get a diagnosis much faster, and the condition will no longer be trivialised by people who think that Endo is ‘just a period thing.’

She also hopes to encourage those who think they may have Endometriosis to seek help and trust their instincts.
