Luminosity 2017

Luminosity is a vibrant, fun 2 hour yogathon to raise awareness and funds into research of Endometriosis, a condition affecting 1 in 10 women in the prime of their lives.

The session is ideal for beginners, yogis, families and anyone who wants to let their hair down and flow!

Gather your friends and co-entrants to downward dog in the comfort of your own home, work p[ace or community centre. This is truely a nationwide event!

All funds raised will go to Endometriosis Australia, a registered charity creating awareness, education & research for Endometriosis in a bright, positive and fun way.

The wonderful and very talented Mitch Gibson will be leading us through our paces at Luminosity.

Mitch (Michelle) Gibson has spent her entire career moving bodies around.

From the early 80’s teaching Fitness in lycra and legwarmers, through to training fitness instructors – she finally made it “home” to exclusively teaching Yoga in 2002.

She has been the proud creator and owner of her Yoga studio: Yogabowl, in north shore Sydney, since 2005.

Mitch’s mission statement and approach to Yoga has always been, Do-able Yoga for Real People Like You.

She now specialises in functional, Gentle Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Corporate Yoga (Yoga in the workplace … for desk sitters and stress-heads).

In our existence of overwhelm and constant busy-ness, the LESS is MORE thing really resonates on the Yoga mat.

Having spent her entire life enduring acute and chronic period pain, a diagnosis of Adenomyosis in 2015 and subsequent hysterectomy in 2016 felt completely liberating.

Her connection with Assoc. Professor Jason Abbott is incredibly special to her – and she’s honoured to be bringing Luminosity 2017 to you all.

It’s not too late to join in the fun.

The session is ideal for beginners, yogis, families and anyone who wants to let their hair down and flow! It will be a lot of fun!

Namaste 🙏
