We have finally made official our unofficial Ambassador. Simone Skinner-Smith has worked tirelessly to create Luminosity, spread awareness about endometriosis and Endometriosis Australia. Simone’s blog was one of the first we had to share on this site. She has also created and instigated the 4 page spead in the Australian Yoga Journal this month. We want to acknowledge her amazing efforts and say Thank you! We hope you can join us at Luminosity this year and you can thank her too!
Simone is ‘The Mobile Yogi’. She has been practising yoga for over 12 years in all corners of the world including India, Bali, Mauritius, London and most recently in her home town of Sydney.
Simone currently holds both a Level 1 (200hours) and a Level Two (500hours) Purna Yoga Teachers Certificate with the Byron Yoga Centre, a certificate in the art of Teaching Yoga One-on-One, a Level One Children’s’ Yoga Certificate, a Children’s’ Yoga Therapy Certificate with Zenergy Kids Yoga, and a Pre-natal & Post-natal Yoga Teacher’s Certificate with Bliss Baby Yoga, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from her other life working in the Australian Television Industry as a TV Reporter, Producer and freelance magazine Writer. She proudly runs free ‘Yoga for Endo’ classes and each year hosts the glowing yoga charity event ‘Luminosity’ to raise funds and awareness for this condition affecting 1 in 10 women, herself included. And this year Simone became a mum to one gorgeous little man, by far her greatest achievement to date!
Simone thoroughly enjoys being able to pass on her knowledge and love of yoga to people of all ages, and simply cannot imagine life without yoga.
