Monica Forlano
Board Chair
Monica Forlano is the Chair of the Endometriosis Australia Board.
Monica has over 20 years of media industry experience ranging from managing international operations of cable television in Europe to leading broadcast channels and content production departments in Australia. Monica is currently Head of AFL Studios, the production and in-house creative agency of the Australian Football League.
Her key career achievements are developing marketing and business transformation plans around media creation and distribution, including successful campaigns for major television programs.
Monica was diagnosed and treated for endometriosis at the age of 31, unaware of the disease or how it was the cause of the chronic pain she had suffered since adolescence. Knowing there are 830,000 Australians who have this disease, Monica is keen to build awareness in the broader community, so women and girls are able to seek treatment instead of suffering in silence.
Beginning in 2017, Monica has proudly supported Endometriosis Australia campaigns through the creation of fundraising and awareness programs, including the one-hour episode of Insight dedicated to endometriosis that aired on SBS in 2018.
