Period pain that puts your life on hold isn’t normal.
It could be endometriosis.
Mental Health & Endometriosis: A Hidden Struggle
Raising awareness. Driving research. Supporting those who live with endo every day.
While the physical symptoms of endometriosis are often talked about, the mental health impact is just as real — and just as urgent.
From chronic pain, diagnostic delays, and disrupted education or careers, to anxiety, depression, isolation, and trauma — the toll on mental wellbeing is deep and often overlooked.
🎥 In our latest video, Professor Lisa van Niekerk shares:

-
The importance of trauma-informed care and pain science

Nurses Scholarship for Endometriosis
New scholarship to deliver 100 endometriosis nurses to regional, rural and remote areas
- 1 in 7 women are impacted by endometriosis by the age of 49, and specialist nursing support across Australia is critical, especially in rural, remote and regional areas.
- Endometriosis Australia needs your support now to help us fund 100 nurses in our new scholarship program.
- In collaboration with the Australian College of Nursing Foundation (ACNF), we are launching this initiative to shift the dial on those impacted to get the support they need.
- Each scholarship will support an eligible nurse undertaking the 10-week Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain module delivered by the ACNF. Thanks to your support this March, we’re offering five (5) scholarships beginning in July 2025. Apply here.
- Endometriosis Australia is a nationally accredited charity that raises awareness, educates and funds research for endometriosis. Efforts have reduced the diagnosis time from 7–12 years to 6.5 years on average, but much work still needs to be done.
