On her experiences with endometriosis and Endometriosis Australia “I support Endometriosis Australia as they create education and awareness surrounding a disease that approximately 1 in 10 women face.

I was in severe pain and had seen several doctors for over 5 years with no diagnosis. Some doctors would even tell me the pain was all in my head. They made me feel crazy! I finally spoke to a specialist who believed I could have something called ‘Endometriosis’. Once I went through my exploratory surgery and was diagnosed with this awful disease there was a sense of relief as I had finally received an answer, however, I was shocked and saddened to learn that there is no cure. Although my surgery has helped to reduce my pain, I still struggle with this disease. I see a women’s physiotherapist monthly, my gynaecologist yearly and attend regular yoga classes to help relax my muscles.

I support Endometriosis Australia and will continue to raise awareness on this disease throughout my social media platforms. This will hopefully encourage women to get checked and receive a diagnosis sooner.”
