Doctor Siew Lim

Dietician

Dr Siew Lim is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Health Systems and Equity at Monash University. Siew has a Biomedical degree on Physiology from the University of Adelaide and a Master degree on Nutrition and Dietetics from Flinders University. In 2010 she was awarded her PhD from the University of Adelaide, on weight management in young women undertaken at the Human Nutrition division of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation.  

Siew’s research focuses on lifestyle behaviour change for women of reproductive age, across a range of reproductive and metabolic disorders including endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome and gestational diabetes. Siew has published over 95 journal articles and book chapters on diet and women’s health. She has been an investigator in >$6 million grants in the area of lifestyle behaviour change and women reproductive health.  

Siew is a council member of the Nutrition Society of Australia. She also currently chairs the American Diabetes Association Precision Medicine Initiative in Diabetes for the gestational diabetes prevention group. She sits on several other committees, including serving as a Co-convener for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome group for Dietitians Australia.
