Ruhee Meghani

Founder, Allied Collective

Ruhee has a background in psychology and business management, and over 13 years of experience as a yoga teacher. She has always been deeply passionate about well-being.

However, her life took an unexpected turn after years of unexplained pain and searching for answers. Ruhee was diagnosed with endometriosis, which affected her far beyond the physical symptoms. It impacted her mental, emotional, social, financial and environmental well-being.

At the time, Ruhee had already founded Allied Collective, Australia’s first inclusive facilitation practice. She was helping organisations build stronger well-being, leadership, and inclusion capabilities.

Even so, her post-surgery journey sparked something extraordinary. Although it was challenging, it led to meaningful conversations within her community. These powerful discussions centred on the realities of navigating endometriosis and the unique challenges it presents for different people.

As a gifted storyteller and inclusive wellbeing facilitator, Ruhee took action. She launched “Healing in Colour”, Australia’s first movement for women of colour with endometriosis and other chronic conditions.

This initiative tackles the triple burden. It addressed medical gaslighting and misogyny compounded by racism and the lack of culturally appropriate care.  Moreover, “Healing in Colour” drives global impact. Through engaging conversations, collaborations, and community leader spotlights, it aims to reach 50,000 people worldwide. It creates space for vital dialogue, education and action around chronic illness. More importantly, it champions truly inclusive well-being approaches.

In addition to this work, Ruhee serves on the Victorian Multicultural Commission’s Regional Advisory Council. Here, she continues her leadership in diversity, equity, inclusion, and wellbeing. She transforms personal challenges into powerful community change.
