Maddy Forster

VIC

Maddy has been suffering with symptoms of endometriosis for 8 years. With a history of Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, time in hospital, taking medication and undergoing tests were nothing new to her diagnosis.

She was formally diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis and Adenomyosis in 2021, after 3 misdiagnosed laparoscopies. With disease surrounding her ovaries, bowel, bladder and pouch of douglas, Maddy experiences endo symptoms daily.

After going through 3 egg freezing harvests before the age of 24, Maddy became determined to be a voice for those who feel they can’t speak up about their pain. With her eyes set on making a change, she runs an annual walk in March. In the past two years, Maddy has raised over $18,000 for Endometriosis Australia.

5 surgeries in 5 years took a huge toll, forcing her to change career three times and re-assess her future. With a Bachelor of Communications degree up her sleeve, she decided life was too short to not follow her passion in fashion.

At the age of 25, Maddy decided to take her future into her own hands so she could keep her health a high priority. She is now the founder and qualified personal stylist for her business, Mad About Fashion. Fashion has been a safe haven through the difficult times. Being able to relate to so many women out there, Maddy aims to help those of all ages, size and life experience to unlock their style potential.
