Dr Jane Chalmers (PhD, B.Physio) is a Senior Lecturer in Pain Sciences at the University of South Australia. She is the leader of the pelvic pain theme under the Innovation, Implementation And Clinical Translation in Health (IIMPACT) research concentration at the University of South Australia.

Dr Jane Chalmers is a Senior Lecturer in Pain Sciences and Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of South Australia. Jane is a physiotherapist by background, and she is passionate about solving the problem of pelvic pain. In 2018 she was awarded her PhD from the University of South Australia which investigated how pelvic pain is assessed and conservatively managed.  

Jane’s research focuses on conservative management of pelvic pain, including the use of pain science education, exercise, and self-management strategies. She is passionate about clinically-relevant research and currently mentors students undertaking their Masters in Continence and Women’s Health through Curtin University as well as several physiotherapists working in the community. She has published widely in endometriosis and pelvic pain.
