Endometriosis Australia’s podcast host recognised for championing change and breaking stigma in women’s health

We’re thrilled to announce that Ellie Angel-Mobbs, host of Living with Endo: The A to Z of Endometriosis, has been named a finalist in the 2025 B&T Women in Media Awards in the Social Change Maker category.

As a passionate endometriosis advocate, media personality and podcast host, Ellie has used her voice and platform to elevate stories that too often go unheard. She now joins a powerhouse list of women recognised for driving change, disrupting the status quo, and creating a more inclusive media landscape.

“As an Ambassador for Endometriosis Australia, Ellie has demonstrated exceptional leadership and creativity through her groundbreaking podcast series,” said General Manager of Endometriosis Australia, Natalie Rupil.

“The podcast is a testament to her dedication to raising awareness and inclusivity by providing support for those affected by endometriosis.”

Each episode of Living with Endo features expert interviews with gynaecologists, pelvic health physios, psychologists, and dietitians — alongside deeply personal stories from those living with endometriosis. The show offers more than just education. It’s a lifeline for listeners seeking support, solidarity, and hope.

“Ellie’s compassionate and inclusive interview style creates a safe space for open conversations about symptoms, treatments, and the emotional toll of chronic pain,” said Ms Rupil. “Her work has fostered a powerful sense of community and connection.”

Calling Out Misinformation and Leading with Integrity

Earlier this year, Ellie took a stand against harmful public comments by broadcaster Marty Sheargold, who dismissed endometriosis as “made up.” In response, Ellie collaborated with the SCA Briefing team to produce a powerful episode confronting the misinformation — helping set the record straight for the 1 in 7 people affected by endometriosis.

“She showed real leadership for the endo community,” said Ms Rupil.
“By challenging stigma and educating the public, Ellie continues to push for meaningful change.”

Ellie also led the creation of a special March Awareness Month radio feature titled Life with Endometriosis for the SCA HIT Network — shining a national spotlight on what it means to live with the condition.

The winners of the 2025 Women in Media Awards will be announced on August 29.
