Paul is a special counsel at Maddocks in the commercial practice, who specialises in advising NFPs, charities and other community organisations, including on regulatory obligations governance and tax matters.
Paul is a member of the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Advisor Forum, the Advisor Forum for Women’s Property Initiatives and a member of the Charity Lawyers Australia and New Zealand. In 2019, Paul completed a Masters Subject at Melbourne University in Not-for-Profits, Law and the State.
Paul has substantial experience in the procurement by government departments and agencies of goods and services, the creation, application and operation of delegated legislation, and the administration and management of public justice services. This includes the delivery of justice services in conjunction with other government departments, community organisations and private service providers.
Paul also has particular expertise in managing counterparty risk through provisions in commercial agreements for the supply or procurement of goods and/or services, the Personal Property Securities Act 2009, the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Consumer Law.
