Donna Ciccia
Director & Cofounder
Donna Ciccia is the Director and Co-founder of Endometriosis Australia, a passionate advocate and changemaker in the field of women’s health. Initially trained in Fashion Design and Business, Donna’s journey took a transformative turn following her battle with chronic health conditions, including a diagnosis of endometriosis at age 31 in 2001. Her lived experience inspired her to pursue further studies in Holistic Nutrition and Homeopathy, and a Masters for Research, and ultimately dedicate her life to improving outcomes for those affected by endometriosis.
In recognition of her impact, Donna was named one of the Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence in 2018, received the Blackmores Women & Wellness – Change Being Award in 2019 and was a finalist for the NSW Women of the Year Award – Community Hero in 2021.
Donna serves as a Member of the Federal Endometriosis Advisory Group, is a Director of Chronic Pain Australia and Long COVID Australia, and is an Australia Day Ambassador.
Donna’s mission through Endometriosis Australia is to “pay it forward” — advocating for greater awareness, research, and support, with the hope of finding successful treatments and ultimately a cure for future generations.
