Abbey Lee is a renowned model who worked with major brands such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, Tom Ford, Calvin Klein, and Versace. However, she found her true calling on the big screen and stage.
Abbey Lee transitioned to acting over five years ago. She made her debut in the supporting role of Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), directed by George Miller.
Her acting journey quickly gained momentum with larger roles, including The Neon Demon (2016), directed by Nicolas Winding Refn. In the years that followed, Abbey starred in several films, including Elizabeth Harvest (2018), directed by Sebastián Gutiérrez, and To the Night (2018) by Peter Brunner. Additionally, she appeared in Gaspar Noé’s short film Lux Æterna, which premiered at Cannes in 2019. These projects helped further solidify her reputation in cinema.
In 2018, Abbey made her stage debut in London’s West End, portraying Yelena in Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya. Her performance earned praise and marked an exciting new chapter in her career. Moreover, Abbey starred in the critically acclaimed HBO series Lovecraft Country (2020). Produced by J.J. Abrams and Jordan Peele, the series garnered multiple accolades, including a Critics Choice Television Award nomination for Best Drama Series, a SAG Award normation for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series and 18 Emmy nominations.
Currently, Abbey Lee stars in Netflix’s Florida Man, opposite Edgar Ramirez. She also appears in Waco: The Aftermath, where she plays the character Carol in this five-part drama series. In 2024, Abbey had a standout role in Horizon: An American Saga, Kevin Costner’s latest film. The movie opened the Cannes Film Festival to widespread acclaim.
