Professor Louise Hull

BSc, MBChB, PhD, FRANZCOG, CREI

Associate Professor M. Louise Hull is a gynaecologist and reproductive medicine specialist. She founded the Endometriosis Research Group at the Robinson Research Institute at Te University of Adelaide, having completed a PhD in endometriosis at the University of Cambridge, UK. Her group specialises in understanding the biological basis of endometriosis, investigating non-invasive diagnostic tests for endometriosis, identifying new ways of treating endometriosis and undertaking pharmaceutical trials. The group has national and international collaborations with other endometriosis researchers, pharmaceutical companies and biotech companies.  

Associate Professor Hull is an International Ambassador for the World Endometriosis Society, a member of the Faculty of 1000 and was an Associate Editor for Human Reproduction. She is the Chair of the research committee for the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopic Society and sits on several grant committees and medical advisory boards. She presents on endometriosis at international and national conferences, publishes widely and mentors PhD and medical students.  

Associate Professor Hull sees endometriosis patients with fertility problems at Fertility SA, an IVF unit in Adelaide. She also sees young women with endometriosis and pelvic pain at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Adelaide.
