Endometriosis Nursing Scholarship Program with ACNF

International Nurses Day: These three nurses are supporting those with endometriosis.

The Endometriosis Nursing Scholarship is a fully funded, 10-week training program developed with the Australian College of Nursing. It provides nurses with specialist knowledge and practical skills in endometriosis and pelvic pain care.

Through this program, nurses learn to recognise symptoms earlier, guide patients through treatment options more effectively and deliver compassionate, informed support.

The scholarship focuses on nurses in regional, rural, and remote areas of Australia, helping address healthcare gaps and bring specialised endometriosis care to communities that need it most

About the Partnership

Endometriosis Australia has partnered with the Australian College of Nurses (ACN) to deliver funding opportunities through the ACNF Fundraising Campaign. This partnership builds on the success of our collaboration on the Clinical Advisory Group for the National Action Plan for Endometriosis (NAPE).

Through this scholarship program, Endometriosis Australia will fund the ACN to deliver professional development opportunities for nurses working in endometriosis care.

Launched on International Nurses Day (2 May 2024).

      Program Aims and Objectives

Endometriosis Australia is on a mission to transform endometriosis care across the country. Through the Endometriosis Nursing Scholarship, part of our Endo Academy initiative, we’re working toward three ambitious goals:

      1. Train 100 specialist endometriosis nurses by 2027. Each fully funded $2,900 scholarship equips a nurse with the knowledge and skills to deliver expert care in their community.

      2. Reach the communities that need it most. We’re prioritising regional, rural, and remote areas where it’s hard to find specialist care. Everyone deserves access to expert support, no matter where they live.

      3. Build a sustainable model for the future. By investing in nursing education now, we’re building a strong foundation for the future and creating lasting change in how Australians access endometriosis care.
